The Grace of Ordinary Days
October 28, 2015
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Bernie Saunders, Author and Photographer
Roseville Community Library
2180 North Hamline Avenue
Roseville, MN 55113
Bernie Saunders presents his first-hand account of collaborating with his poet mother, Kay Saunders, in writing the book, The Grace of Ordinary Days. Described as "Tuesdays with Morrie meets Georgia O'Keeffe," their story is a rare glimpse into the separate but inseparably linked lives of a mother and son.
The contemplative poems and stories, and stunning flower photography express the highs and lows, the struggles and rewards of their sixty years together.
Bernie will read from the book, share the back-story of how the book came to be, and talk about how his relationship changed with his mother. He also presents the Companion Guide that helps people enrich their important relationships, along with answering your questions about how it can work for you.
With the holidays approaching, The Grace of Ordinary Days story is the perfect preparation for upcoming family celebrations. Kay's and Bernie's story may resonate with your own relationships and may prompt you to recount, with a loved one or by yourself, the grace of your own ordinary days.
