Traveling can be fun and very rewarding. Whatever your interests, be sure to research your trip in advance and leave an itinerary with a friend or family member.

A travel package is a pre-arranged vacation. Some packaged vacations include only basic services such as transportation and accommodations, while others may include meals, sightseeing, and transfers. Usually an independent tour operator assembles these packages and sells them through a travel agent.

Many travel companies offer discounts to individuals over 50 years of age. And the discounts get even better at ages 60, 62, and 65. These discounts, ranging from eating in restaurants to lodging, are easy to obtain and save money when you are traveling. Check out the discounts you can receive through the AARP. Or contact your local travel company.
